Virtual, Inc. Expands Online Events Capabilities

Professional Services Firm Successfully Conducts More Than 100 Online Events in 2021 and Expands Media Production Resources for 2022

WAKEFIELD, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Virtual, Inc., today celebrated a successful 2021 of creating, planning, and executing over 100 online, in-person and hybrid events by announcing the addition of media production specialist, Matthew McArdle to the professional services firm. As the global pandemic continued, Virtual’s event and meetings services group adopted a flexible delivery model for the company’s clients, which include associations, standards organizations, technology consortia, and advocacy groups. The media production specialist role strengthens Virtual’s capabilities in this newly prominent practice area.

“Given the ever-changing nature of the world in the past few years, Virtual wants to ensure that all of our clients can continue the critical work of their organizations in whatever event format is desired and applicable,” said Margot Rodger, vice president of events and meetings at Virtual, Inc. “We have always sought to create events that bring our clients a dynamic experience whether people choose to participate in person or remotely. We intend for this dynamic experience to continue in the future, and the addition of Matthew McArdle demonstrates our commitment to continued client service excellence.”

In this newly created position, McArdle will provide hands-on technical assistance in the configuration, operation, and management of virtual, hybrid, and onsite events. He will work closely with the company’s infrastructure and events departments and will be the primary technical representative for events, offering end-to-end customer service and support, assisting diverse groups with varying technology skills, and delivering a smooth experience for all parties.

“I’m thrilled to join Virtual and assist in providing innovative new options in event and media production,” said McArdle. “My experience in production and editing translates across industries, and I look forward to bringing that experience to Virtual’s clients in their respective markets.”

McArdle has over a decade of experience in video production, editing, set design, production scheduling and logistics. As online events increased during the pandemic, McArdle added webcasting, webinar management, remote recording, and segment editing, simulated live-stream and full-production editing, and sound design to his skill set. He graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in Cinematography and Film and Video Production.
