MCLEAN, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Thought Leadership & Innovation Foundation (TLI) announces today that it has appointed healthcare industry visionary and digital strategy thought leader Sam Hanna, MBA, CISA, CBCP, CRISC, as new TLI fellow and senior adviser for TLI’s Innovation Hub. The Innovation Hub is a pipeline of innovation projects and a product/service line development team responsible for identifying technology partners, stitching technologies and methodologies together for robust solutions and developing service lines and internal tools.

Hanna serves as associate dean for Graduate & Professional Programs, executive in residence and Health Programs director at American University. He is a sought-after strategic advisor to several innovative technology companies in the areas of emerging technologies, data analytics, connected devices, healthcare automation and virtual reality. He also served as professor and program director for the master’s program, Management of Health Informatics & Analytics, at The George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health.
Prior to his academic work, he built 20 years of experience in strategy consulting where he most recently led healthcare and innovation for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He is recognized nationally for his expertise in project and program management, business intelligence and analytics, business continuity and complex clinical and financial systems implementations. His expertise spans HIPAA, ARRA/HITECH, audit, risks and governance consulting, and the convergence of the business of healthcare with IT. He is a frequent speaker domestically and internationally.
