Spectra7 Demonstrates Active Copper Cables with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Intel and Other Leading Suppliers

Ethernet Alliance Showcase at OFC Highlights Low Power and
Cost-Effective Active Copper Interconnects at 25G, 100G and 400G

SAN DIEGO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Spectra7 Microsystems Inc. (TSX:SEV) (“Spectra7” or the “Company”), a
leading provider of high-performance analog semiconductor products for
broadband connectivity markets, announced that it is participating in
the Ethernet Alliance OFC 2019 Demo featuring 21 member companies
including leading switch and silicon makers Cisco, Arista, Juniper and
Intel. Spectra7 technology is well represented in the demo and includes
speeds of 25G, 100G and 400G and form factors including SFP, QSFP,
QSFP-DD and OSFP. In all, there are 8 interconnects that include
Spectra7 chips. The groundbreaking demo, available for viewing from
March 5 – 7, 2019 in booth 4749 on the OFC 2019 expo floor, highlights
the growing diversity and maturity of Active Copper Cables (ACCs) for
the current and next generation of Ethernet.

“We are thrilled to be so well represented in this leading-edge demo of
ethernet technology,” said Spectra7’s CEO Raouf Halim. “With the
buildout of 25G and 100G happening now and the start of 400G expected
later this year, we believe OFC 2019 is the perfect venue to highlight
our new technologies.”

GaugeChangerTM is an innovative and disruptive technology
that allows copper to extend much longer lengths without the cost and
power penalty of optics. It works equally well at 25 Gbps NRZ and 50
Gbps PAM-4 enabling new connector standards of 100, 200 and 400 Gbps.

The Ethernet Alliance interoperability demonstrations showcasing
Spectra7’s GaugeChangerTM technology will be in Booth #4749

Spectra7 will also be showcasing its GaugeChangerTM
technology at Booth #5408
