STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#ARC—RAVE Computer, a leader in the development of purpose-built compute solutions, today announces it will be providing a sneak peak of the new Varjo Technologies virtual reality headset, Aero, on Friday, Oct. 22 at Oakland University.
The new Varjo Aero features 35 pixels per degree, advanced ergonomics, active cooling, and crystal-clear variable resolution aspheric lenses which eliminate ghost rays and reflections.
“The Aero HMD is the best option for anyone needing a high-resolution immersive experience on a budget,” shared Devin Fowler, RAVE Product Development. “We’ve optimized our Varjo-ready RenderBEAST specifically for the new Aero headset to provide the best user experience possible.”
RAVE’s Varjo-ready Aero RenderBEAST compute features NVIDA RTX 3070 GPU, option of Intel i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, 6 GB 3200MHz DDR Memory and 1 TB NVMe m.2. Additional customization can be made to optimize performance for specific customer applications.
“Our elite partnership with RAVE Computer goes beyond hardware,” said Tristan Cotter, GM of Varjo North America. “Bringing the most innovative solutions to the ARC for students, teachers, and industry leaders to experience reflects our mutual heartbeat to empower the world with a taste of what’s possible and provide the technology that allows the greatest minds in the world to change reality and our future. Aero HMD powered by RAVE’s RenderBEAST is a perfect pairing for the best immersive experiences.”
Oakland University formed the Augmented Reality Center (ARC) in 2021 to provide a creative and immersive environment for students, faculty, and industries to collaborate, engage, and explore immersive technology advancements. The ARC will showcase the future and deliver opportunities for better efficiency, productivity, and safety for companies.
“As a founding member of the ARC Advisory Board, RAVE is proud to collaborate and donate our time, expertise and custom compute along with best-of-breed immersive technologies to foster the ARC vision,” said Stacey Ferguson, President, RAVE Computer. “RAVE’s elite relationship with Varjo Technologies has provided an incredibly exclusive opportunity for Oakland University and ARC member companies to literally be one of the first groups in the world to experience Varjo’s new Aero months before it ships to customers.”
Varjo Aero is expected to start shipping to customers by the end of 2021. Customers can submit an inquiry at info@rave.com to learn more about RAVE Computer’s expertise as a computer integrator, how to gain priority access to the newest Varjo HMDs, and to schedule product demonstrations.
