CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Northern Trust announced today that its Foundation & Institutional
Advisors (FIA) practice has been selected to provide investment
management services for Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Endowment and
Foundation.
“In conducting an extensive search for strategic partners to help manage
our foundation and endowment assets, Northern Trust rose to the top
because it has a long history of helping non-profits advance their
mission,” said Patrick Murphy, Treasurer of the Milwaukee Symphony
Orchestra. “The team brings deep expertise to the table that will help
the MSO grow this critical piece of its long-term funding strategy to
permit it to remain financially viable for generations to come.”
The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to connect with diverse
audiences through concert performances and nationally recognized
education and outreach programs. All programs are guided by the
Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Family Shared Vision, which states that
the orchestra exists for three purposes: to comfort, educate, entertain
and exhilarate the human soul through events of cultural significance,
relevance and artistic challenge; to embrace, preserve and foster its
musical heritage; and to enhance the vibrancy of the community.
“We are delighted to work with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra to
provide investment management services,” said Darius A. Gill, National
Practice Executive, Northern Trust Foundation & Institutional Advisors
group. “Building upon its already premier status, the Milwaukee Symphony
Orchestra is engaged in an important campaign and construction project
that makes our partnership even more exciting as we seek to further its
mission and musical endeavors.”
