BenQ Unveils 34” Ultrawide Monitor for Designers

PD3420Q 21:9 Professional Display Delivers AQCOLOR Accuracy on an Expansive Screen

COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA (December 14, 2020) – BenQ announces PD3420Q, a 34-inch flat screen monitor with a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio. Powered by BenQ exclusive AQCOLOR technology, PD3420Q provides full Display P3 coverage with out-of-the-box color accuracy and award-winning design, especially suitable for Mac users and multitasking.

“PD3420Q is the most comprehensive display for graphic designers, web designers, artists, and creatives,” said Houston Wei, director of BenQ America. “USB-C single cable connectivity, M-Book mode for Mac users, certified color accuracy, innovative professional tools, and BenQ’s signature eye care make this monitor a dream machine.”

PD3420Q offers 3440×1440 WQHD resolution with VESA DisplayHDR 400 support on a panoramic frameless 34-inch panel. The ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio provides 33% extra horizontal surface with higher PPI (Pixels per Inch) density than 16:9 QHD displays. The ultrawide format is ideal for multitasking. Desktop partitions and picture-by-picture give the convenience of dual monitors without the clutter. Users can work in 16:9 and 5:9 partitions side by side, whether editing video or working in another space.

BenQ, internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle devices, developed AQCOLOR technology for supreme color breadth, depth, and accuracy. PD3420Q can display 1.07 billion colors with 99% coverage of sRGB and 98% of DCI-P3, and average Delta E ≤ 3. Each PD3420Q is individually factory-calibrated, Pantone Validated, and Calman Verified. Flawless results are further supported by ICCSync for ICC profile matching, Uniformity Technology for screen consistency, and HDR10 / SMPTE ST 2084.

This elegant display is also generously equipped with smart professional features. Workflow improves with the ability to view content in CAD/CAM, Animation, Darkroom, DualView, and M-Book modes. BenQ’s unique Hotkey Puck Gen 2 eases workload with shortcuts to preferred settings. PD3420Q includes KVM switching capability; PIP/PBP (Picture-in-Picture/Picture-by-Picture) modes; and diverse connectivity with DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB-C connections.

PD3420Q includes BenQ’s industry-leading eye-care: proprietary low blue light, Flicker-free™, and anti-glare technologies for extended editing and creation without fatigue.
